第一回目の「オランダの爆音に踊った夏 Hardcore 野外Festival 2015 最前線：前編」に関する記事で多くの方々から反響を頂いた。読んで頂いた皆様にオランダから感謝の気持ちを心から伝えたい。では、後編は＜Defqon.1＞、＜Ground Zero festival＞という2つのフェスティバルをご紹介をさせて頂きたい。
I’ve received reactions from many of the readers of my first article, “A Summer of Dancing to Dutch Blasts – Hardcore Outdoor Festival 2015 – The Frontline: Part I.” I would like to express my gratitude from the Netherlands to everyone who has read it. In this part II, I will introduce the festivals “Defqon.1” and “Ground Zero Festival.”
唯一、Hardcoreの野外フェスティバルとしてオールナイトで行われる＜Ground Zero festival＞。場所はアムステルダムから約2時間程離れたRecreatiegebied Busslooという公園で行われた。最寄り駅から、タクシーで会場へ向かったが、遥か遠くの場所からでも「ズドン、ズドン」とけたたましい音が聞こえてくる。オールナイトのHardcoreイベントということもあり、月明かりに照らされて、夜風になびく白い旗が物々しい雰囲気を醸し出していた。私は緊張を抱えながら会場内へ足を踏み入れた。今回の＜Ground Zero festival＞は、合計10ステージ。「RAW HARDSTYLE」「EVOLUTION OF HARDSTYLE」「EARLY HARDCORE」「INDUSTRIAL HARDCORE」「TERROR」「RUHR ‘G’ BEAT 」「PALLET INVASION」「FREESTYLE」「GOA／PSY-TRANCE」。ジャンル数を見て頂いても分かる通り、Hardcoreと一括りにしてお伝えをしているが、この様に多種多用な音楽スタイルが確立されているのである（GOA／PSY-TRANCEを除く）。
“Ground Zero Festival,” the only outdoor Hardcore festival to take place overnight. The festival was held at Recreatiegebied Bussloo, a park that lies at an approximate two hours from Amsterdam. I headed toward the venue by taxi from the nearest station, and could make out the sound of loud banging even from far away. Intensified by the fact that this was an overnight Hardcore event, the moonlit, white flags that fluttered in the nighttime winds created an imposing atmosphere. I nervously stepped into the venue. This year’s “Ground Zero Festival” had a total of 10 stages: “Raw Hardstyle,” “Evolution of Hardstyle,” “Early Hardcore,” “Industrial Hardcore,” “Terror,” “Ruhr’G’Beat,” “Pallet Invasion,” “Freestyle” and “Goa/Psy-Trance.” As becomes apparent when you look at the number of genres, I am lumping them all together as Hardcore, but in reality a broad variety of musical sub-styles have been established (excluding Goa/Psy-Trance).
